Is the Gulf logo a Lucky Charm?

The iconic Gulf logo was seen by almost 16 million households last night as they tuned in to watch all 11 innings of  game 6 of the 2012 World Series. The household audience for game 6 was the highest for any World Series game since 2005 (not featuring the Red Sox or Yankees). And that doesn't even include the millions of additional impressions that resulted from still shots and video replays of the dramatic play in the 9th inning!

Below we have included some of the great footage that the Gulf logo has received from last night's game. The Gulf logo can be found on the right field wall at Busch Stadium, home of the St.Louis Cardinals.

The Gulf logo draws attention in several other Major League Baseball Stadiums as well. Both the Boston Red Sox and the Philadelphia Phillies have won the World Series title while playing in parks graced with our favorite orange disc. In 2008, the Gulf logo was added to Citizen Bank Park and later that year the Phillies went on to win the World Series title. In 2007, two years after Gulf orange was added to the Green Monster (the first color sponsorship on the Monster), the Red Sox took home the top honors.

Since the Gulf logo has popped up in the homes of both the Texas Rangers and the St. Louis Cardinals in 2011...can it be said that the Gulf logo is a lucky charm? It's hard not to think so! But who will be the luckiest tonight?
